Some users find reading text on Vufine to be difficult. Apps that support ‘Dynamic Type’ will adjust text size for your preference.
Positioning your Vufine unit
We have a lot of users who choose to angle Vufine slightly above or slightly below their eye. This is ideal for situations where you want to have environmental awareness, drone piloting being a good example.
Voice Controls
On your smartphones and tablets, you can interact with several apps by using voice controls. Pair these apps with Vufine for a fun, hands-free experience!
Using Vufine outdoors
When your eyes are exposed to bright sunlight, your retina will shrink in reaction to the light. Therefore, it can be difficult for your eyes to view any screen while outdoors. We have found that simply wearing a cap mitigates this issue.
Here are some ideas from our users:
Left-eye Vufine?
Currently, Vufine is only designed for right-eye usage. However, if you are able to rotate the HDMI output from your device, you can flip Vufine over to your left-eye.
Notice, the cables will be sticking out of the top of Vufine when you do this.
Where is the sound?
Vufine does not support audio. You will need other audio devices to hear the audio. In the most cases, you can configure your device to use the different output for the video and audio.
Can’t see the full screen?
Try switching the display modes. It is possible that you are using the Zoom mode.
Your Vufine may be too far from your eye. Trying bringing it closer to your eye.
Balancing Vufine’s weight
Some users have complained that the weight of Vufine tends to pull their glasses down.
The screen is too small
If you would like to use Vufine to read something, it may be too small to read with the default font size. Use the display settings of your device to adjust the font size for your comfortable reading experience.
Vufine is ON but there is no or incorrect HDMI input. If the Vufine continues to receive no/incorrect video signal, it will turn itself off and LED goes off.
Check the video source to make sure it is outputting 720p@60Hz video signal.
Connect your device to a standard monitor to make sure the video signal is ON.
My PC/Drone/Camera etc does not support 720p. It only output 1080p.
You will need a HDMI scaler to downscale the screen resolution. We have tested these products to work fine with Vufine.
