Press Release: Vufine, the Simpler Alternative to Smart Glass Technology, is Live on Kickstarter

San Francisco, CA June 22, 2015

Vufine, Inc. launched a Kickstarter campaign today with the goal of raising $50,000 to bring their easy-to-use, wearable display to market. Unlike other smart glass technology, Vufine is a wearable display, not a computer, so there is no camera, no operating system and no confusing user interface to learn. This ensures that Vufine will remain affordable, retailing for $149.

Vufine attaches to a wide variety of glasses using a magnetic docking station and plugs in to a multitude of devices with a special, thin HDMI cable. Vufine is an extension of user technology, not a replacement — think of it like real-life picture-in-picture that allows consumers to enjoy the functionality of their favorite technology in a new way.

Vufine was founded on the principle that technology is smart enough already- consumers just need a new, affordable way to engage with it.

“We created Vufine with simplicity in mind. We didn’t want to add another user interface that you need to adapt to,” said Vufine founder and CEO Goro Kosaka. “Vufine makes viewing your existing devices’ data much more convenient.”

The full Vufine package will include one Vufine, one pair of non-prescription glasses, one docking station, one custom soft HDMI cable and one USB charging cable.

Vufine’s Kickstarter campaign will run for 30 days. Early backers can receive a Vufine for just $99, a 30% reduction of the planned retail price. Backers can expect to receive their units in November 2015. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/VufineKS.
